Post Election Social Beach Bonfire
Join us for a social on Portobello Beach to celebrate all of the amazing Green campaigning that happened across Edinburgh, and the election of TEN Green Councillors – our biggest group yet!
We’ll have a bonfire, and soft drinks and snacks provided, and bring your own alcoholic tipple if you fancy it. Instruments, firewood, and campaign tales all welcome.
Access and how to get there:
We’ll be meeting at Groyne 5 at the bottom of Bedford Terrace. The bonfire will be on the beach, but we’ll be setting up the drinks table on the prom, which is wheelchair accessible. There are also beach wheelchairs for hire so please let us know if that is something you would like us to arrange for you.
Buses 26, 45 and 124 will take you to Joppa Road, a minute’s walk from the beach, or the 21, 42 and 49 will get you to Portobello Town Hall which is about 10 minutes away. There are lovely off-road cycle routes from Granton/Leith, and from the South Side, and lots of cycle parking available.
